Sketch Up Christmas Room Day 2

Today i finished the christmas room and i added all the things i can before it starts to make the Sketch up lag. i added a tree, fireplace, and a couch as shown in the picture at the bottom of this post. tomorrow i have no clue what im going to be doing.

today i am starting to make a living room that has a Christmas tree and everything that a living room would have when it is Christmas. something i may not put in due to it lagging the program. i am working on the floor today and tomorrow i will be starting on making the walls.

Inventor Professional tutorial 4

today i was working off another tutorial this one was making a screw. it wasn't that hard to make it. i had to stop the video a few times to watch what he was doing so i didn't mess up. i recommend this program cause you make 2D parts then after turn them into 3D parts.

today i made a wheel like part. i had to use the mirror tool and the revolve tool. i watched a tutorial again to help me now every tool and how they are used. inventor is a good program for building parts and so on.

today again i am helping the class with sketch up. i have learned how to use the scale tool better due to helping with the plane.

this week i will be help out my class with sketch up since i have used sketch up a lot for doing building and other projects.

Sketch Up Pool

today while i was waiting to help some one i quickly made the pool that they will be making. the video was quick but i got it looking like the one in the video. i will be helping the class with the pool when they get to it.

i like planetbase because it is difficult and you need to pay attention to what is happening at all time. i have nearly lose everyone dure to running out of power and the started to die from lack of O2

to set up a colony you have to land on a planet and start building your base. you need a air lock and a O2 generator so that your people can breathe when they're inside your base. then you need a room where they can eat and get drinks, a room for them to sleep, a room for them to heal when they are sick, and a room to produce food for them.

the tutorial was different from the walk-thru because the tutorial gave you more information on what each room does and why you need it. the walk-thru didnt tell you everything the tutorial does.

Planetbase is about making a colony on a planet that isnt earth. you have to grow your own food and make your own energy. you have have to make a colony on a random planet. you have to grow food to keep your people alive, you also need to have enough water for your people to survive. one more thing you do in planetbase is produce energy for your base so you are able to have power and produce oxygen in your base.

the goal of this game is to survive as long as you can with out having all your people dying of starvation or thirst.

you have goals in the game, you have to make enough food for everyone on the planet. you have have enough water to supply everyone. and also have to have enough energy/power to keep your base running. if you build your base slowly your people will start to die. there are bots that cruise around and repair things, it is important to make sure they stay running and is running good. there will be sand storms and other weather conditions. there is no long term goals beside surviving. there are milestones that need to be completed if you want to go to a more challenging planet.

Inventor Professional 2016 Tutorial

today i tried inventor professional 2016. this program you make your own parts and tool or even machines. i was following a tutorial which ill link to this post. i made a wrench. there is a lot of tools in the program. there are 3D and 2D modes. if i didnt watch the tutorial i wouldnt know how to use the program. ill use it again.

Revit House Day 4 (Finished)

today i finished building my house. i added components to to the rest of the rooms. i have taken pictures of the house from above outside and i rendered it. the house can sleep 2 adults and 3 kids. there is a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. i dont know what to do tomorrow ill think about it.

Revit House Day 3

today i continued to work on my house project. i have added 3 rooms in. the kitchen/living room, office room, and a closet for jackets and shoes. i have put 4 desks in the office which will be used for working/studying/playing games. i havent added anything in the kitchen/living room yet i will be doing that tomorrow and i have also added a front door. i added another bed in one of the room so it can sleep 2. tomorrow i hope to finish and start on something else.

Revit House day 2

today i have been working on the bedrooms and bathroom. i have been adding in furniture in those rooms as shown in the picture. the way i am getting furniture in my model is by using the component tool. the component tool has numerous files with different things in them. i have been using the furniture, doors, windows, plumbing and lighting folders to get everything i have in the pictures. tomorrow ill be working on building the living room and kitchen.

Revit House Day 1

today i am working on my own project. i am building a house that has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a office. i have added the 3 bedrooms and bathroom. i put doors and windows on the bedrooms and bathroom. i am going to be adding at least 4 windows in two of the bedrooms. the other bedroom will get 2 windows and the bathroom will get 2 as well. the tools i am using are the wall, door, window, and model text tools. i am using the model text tool to mark which room is which so i don't put something in that room that shouldn't be there. tomorrow i will be working on putting the furniture in the rooms i am working on. the picture below only shows what i am working on, the other half of the house isn't in the picture because i have nothing there.

Revit

Revit is good program for making plans for buildings etc. you can use bird eyes view for doing floor plans and you can also use 3D mode where you can rotate the building and build using it that way. in revit you can also add pluming and pipes to it. you can add fire protection, furniture, lighting, doors, windows, etc. i recommend revit over sketch up because you can do a lot more than sketch up. sketch up you need to make your own things from scatch. revit has everything in it already.

Revit Day 4,5,6

i have posted for three days so here is my posts for those days. i have been working on my own project on Revit. i am building a 80' by 60' house single floor, 2 bedrooms, livings room, kitchen, and garage. i have been adding in furniture into the house now. i need to figure out how to add a second floor to buildings. i looked at the help tab how to but i still cant get it to make a new floor. besides that i have added windows and doors to all the rooms. there is a garage door and a door to get into the house from the garage. i had to delete the roof so i can move around the beds and everything else. i can add piping and all that stuff but i have no idea how to do that yet so ill be looking into that another day. the picture that i add is where i am so far on my house. the way im getting furniture in the house is by clicking on components

Revit Day 3

Day 3: today i was working on the shed and i added in an interior room, doors, and windows. Revit has numerous things you can do while building a project. you are able to change it from white and black to realistic, which make it look like an actual shed or what ever you are making. there is a difference between Sketch UP and Revit. in Sketch up you are able to make your own studs and rafters but in revit it already has materials in it which you can use. in sketch up i made a shed and i had to make the studs for it and everything. in revit i can just use the wall tool and its done. i am able to change the with of the wall. same as putting a roof on revit already has a tool for that but sketch up doesnt have a tool and you have to make it your self. sketch up is more time consuming than revit because you have to make everything. revit has more technology to it then sketch up. i have picture to show you the differences when i have it on realistic mode and then just plain mode. i always can render the shed which is also in the pictures. picture 3 is the rendered shed the black and white ones are the plain mode and the other ones are realistic mode.

Revit Day 2

Day 2: today i was watching the tutorial again. i got the roof on the shed now. there is a lot of tools and settings in Revit and it will probably take me awhile to learn all of it. i only now how to make walls and roof. i like Revit a lot more than Sketch Up because you make plans for the building and you can view it in 2D or 3D. i have no clue what ill be doing tomorrow.

Revit Day 1

Day 1: today i started to use Revit 2016 and i am following a tutorial which ill post at the bottom of the pictures. so far i had to get help from my teacher Mr. B because i didnt know how to change the units thank you Mr. B. now i have the units change i got started on the project. i have the structure of the shed built from the tutorial video. i also was using the wall tool. tomorrow ill continue the tutorial.

Mixed day

today i was working on the stairs for the treehouse. i got a little bit done because i was installing revit which im going to start to use instead of sketch up. i am going to be posting everything ill be doing on Revit like i have been doing on Sketch Up.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 10

Part 10: today i was working on the deck. i have got the deck done and not the stairs. when i was making the deck i was using the rectangle tool and push/pull tool again. i made support beams going down on an angle that connects to the tree on each side. ill be adding a railing tomorrow and i hope to get started on the stairs. i also add a door to the treehouse. i took the door off my previous model which was the shed.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 9

Part 9: today i was finishing up my kitchen in the treehouse as shown in the pictures. i used the 3D Warehouse in sketch up to import some models. i imported a fridge, sink, and stove into my model. the kitchen is now done so tomorrow i am going to move on and do the deck and stairs to get up to the treehouse.

Part 8: today i was working on the counter and cupboards in the treehouse. i add a sink and a stove to the counter. i still have to make the fridge. i used the rectangle and offset tool to help me make the counter and cupboards. i also add to color and paint to it as shown in the picture at the bottom. i dont know what i be doing next as i am going hunting for 5 days. i wont be able to post till Wednesday next week.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 7

Part 7: today i started on the cupboards. i am using a old tutorial video i used last year for making a small house. i have only got two done as shown in the picture. i am going to continue making the cupboards tomorrow because i have to make the stove so i can fit that in before i finish.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 6

Part 6: today i have add the drywall inside the treehouse so now all the walls are done. i used the rectangle tool again to make the walls. then i took the paint tool to paint the walls grey as shown in the picture i took. tomorrow i will try to make cupboards for the tree house and i might make a stove and a fridge.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 5

Part 5: today i was working on the bunk beds. i went on to the internet to get the size of a twin bed so i could make the bunks that size. i painted them and everything. i put cross beams under the beds so it will be sturdy and that the person will not fall thru the bed. tomorrow i will be working on finishing the inside walls and hopefully i make some cupboards for the tree house as well. the tree house i am making will be able to sleep 4 people.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 4

Part 4: today i am adding on the walls with the rectangle tool. i click on one corner of the wall then i drag it to the opposite corner and then click it then there will be a rectangle after that i take the push/pull tool and bring it out 1/2". then i added paint as shown in the picture.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 3

Part 3: today i have put up the walls for the treehouse. i have used 2x4's to make the walls. the walls are 6ft and 4in high. it doesn't take long to make the walls because you can make one then click all the studs and make them into a group. then you can copy the group then move it to the other side of the building if it the same length. tomorrow i will be finishing on making the walls then ill be making some cupboards and beds to put up in the treehouse.

Part 2: today i got the ladder done as shown in the picture. i have messing around with the side support and decided to get rid of it. i also and plywood on top of the floor studs.

Sketch Up Treehouse Day 1

Part 1: today i started to build a tree house in sketch up. i have always done sheds and tables and never have done a tree house be fore. so its something new and it is difficult to do because the floor is suspended from the ground. i have to make the floor strong and sturdy. i have made the floor and i am and on side pieces on to help support the floor of the tree house as shown in the pictures at the bottom. i am making the the tree house between four trees each 16' apart from each other. tomorrow i will continue on the side support beams and i might be able to start the ladder going up to the tree house.

Sketch Up Half Day

today is a half day of school so i made a quick and easy coffee table for a living room. the table is 6ft. long and 3ft. wide and stand 3ft. high. it has glass on both sides of the table as shown in the picture.

Sketch Up Day 6 (Finished)

Part 6: i have now finished my shed. i have added the walls and the roof for the shed as shown in the pictures. i am now thinking of building a actually house in sketch up. ill build the walls and everything like i did with the shed. ill try to added a second for to the house if i am able to do that.

Sketch Up Shed Day 5

Part 5: i have now finished the roof rafters. i cut all them so they fit to the roof beam. i also have extended the front studs so that they all touch the top of the sheds roof. i had to cut the studs as well so that they would not be sticking through the roof. on monday ill be doing the back wall studs so the look like the front wall studs.

Sketch Up Shed Day 4

Part 4: i have started on the studs for the walls and i have completed all of the structures for the shed walls. after i was done the wall structures i started on working on the roof rafters for the shed. this is the second time i will be making roof rafters, the first time i learned how to do rafters was on a tutorial on YouTube by MasterSketchUP. i also added in the shed door again, i had to remove a stud and replace it in a different spot to fit the shed door in. i have now added thr rafters but i have to cut them so they all fit like the circled one in the picture. tomorrow i will continue on finishing the roof rafters.

Sketch Up Shed Day 3

Part 3: i had to restart my whole shed because i wasn't paying attention to what i was doing and i put the wall studs the wrong way. i deleted the whole shed and started from scratch, ill learn from this mistake and i hope i don't do it again. i made a whole different floor base as shown in the pictures. the floor base i did for this shed is a lot more sturdier than the last shed and it lifted of the ground. tomorrow i will be working on the wall studs for the shed once again but ill be doing them right this time.
